Andrea Modica is one of photography's most important new image-makers. Her work has been exhibited across the country and is in many collections, such as The Museum of Modern Art, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the Whitney Museum of American Art. A MFA graduate of Yale University, she is the recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship among many other prestigious awards. Andrea's work has been featured in many magazines, including The New York Times, The New Yorker, Vanity Fair and American Photo to name a few. Her two books, Minor league and Tread well have also both met with critical acclaim. Andrea has taught at the International Center for Photography, the Woodstock Photography Workshops and the Sante Fe Workshops. She has been a professor at the State University of New York College at Oneonta since 1985.
