Jaume Blassi often prods us to ponder that marvelous Renaissance paradox so rich in meaning: the maximum in the minimum. Blassi's
virtual hands or his Ordesa avalanche are circumscribed views of maximal phenomena and vast interrelations that the photographs
urge us to tap, in order better to comprehend truths more universal than these photographs' strictly literal content might render.
In the most literal sense, they are visual design , but they beg to signify more; at the very least, to interrelate with forces
and facts beyond the image itself.
- from "Historical Reintegration through Photography - Jaume Blassi" by Lee Fontanella
